“What’s the difference between hope and waiting?” (after Anna Kamienska’s, ‘Difference’)
Hope is trusting the lit-look steps,
the wild, trod-less path,
the unfolding …
finding home inside

Hope is trusting the lit-look steps,
the wild, trod-less path,
the unfolding …

I rather like the idea of “an honoured shelf”
on which to keep broken things—
a conscious choice, an intentional decision
to love the broken things as they are in
their brokenness

This is a story about metamorphosis
As illustrated by perimenopause
To be told in an essay

“Lately, I’ve been using my body as pendulum. First, I stand still and steady. Breathe deeply, consciously for a moment, connecting inwards …”

we have to heal, though not get too
swept up in the want to be healed
healing was never meant to be
a life-long journey …

I can’t go back in time and change
the way things were, so I practise
showing up differently, Here
and Now …
